Cabrillo College’s Phlebotomy Technician Certificate of Achievement program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as Certified Phlebotomy Technicians (CPT1). The curriculum focuses on mastering essential techniques such as venipuncture, arterial blood draw, and specimen collection, preparing graduates for diverse healthcare settings like hospitals and outpatient clinics. Upon successful completion of the required coursework, including Medical Terminology, Phlebotomy series and a 120-hour externship, students become eligible to sit for the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination.
